Urban Placemaking
From Concrete to Community
The built environment connects people and places. Developments are more than siloed spaces; they encompass the relationships between individuals, the spaces they inhabit, and their cultural, social, economic and environmental contexts. An urban placemaking approach creates vibrant spaces that invite and inspire community engagement. Whether for private developments, public spaces, townships or even business districts, we strive to create inclusive urban spaces where people can interact with one another and the natural environment.
Creating community assets
Urban placemaking involves shaping spaces to foster community well-being and engagement. We believe in people-first community creation through design work that prioritises bringing inclusive, accessible, and engaging environments to life.
Urban Planning & Design
In the public realm, we excel in strategic land development, smart city master planning, regional planning and stakeholder management. From public placemaking projects to Business Improvement Districts and beyond, we operate on the belief that a community’s unique identity is closely tied to the local culture and natural environment.
This underscores our approach for projects like ThreeSixty City in Lingayen Bay, Philippines where we only restored the coast but turned it into an attractive waterfront development with engaging public spaces. By doing so, we sought to improve people’s quality of life while offering economic opportunities and ecosystem services like flood protection and water purification.
Sustainability Practices
Especially in larger urban developments like townships, we strive to create vibrant urban centres that achieve quality of life, economic competitiveness and environmental sustainability.
With nature as our north star, we use sustainability practices like water sensitive designs for water management and uplift the local ecology by transforming it into an education and engagement opportunity for people. We programme public open spaces that bring people closer to nature, supporting their physical and mental wellness while generating revenue in innovative ways.
Our aim is always to create an attractive destination where people can live, work and play in harmony with nature.
From Harm to Harmony
Urbanisation and industrialisation have led to the degradation of natural landscapes, loss of biodiversity, and significant changes to ecosystems. Regenerative landscape architecture seeks to actively repair and rejuvenate natural systems, creating healthy environments where people and nature can thrive together.

Featured Projects
ThreeSixty City, Philippines
We conceptualised the master plan of ThreeSixty City in Lingayen Bay, Philippines, creating a waterfront Special Economic Zone with innovative water-sensitive urban designs that are ecologically resilient while creating attractive public spaces and enhancing its economic value.
Ng Teng Fong General Hospital, Singapore
We connected Singapore’s Ng Teng Fong General Hospital with its dense urban context using an aboveground walkway that links to nearby train station, shopping malls and office towers. The design greatly increases convenience and accessibility, turning hospitals into community assets.
Khoo Teck Puat Hospital, Singapore
Our award-winning design for Khoo Teck Puat Hospital in Singapore is based on a ‘hospital in a garden, garden in a hospital’ concept. The hospital opens up to its adjacent lake and is designed with a decidedly non-clinical environment and innovative eco-friendly features.
