CPG Corporation Appoints New President and Group Chief Executive Officer

Singapore, 1st October 2024 – CPG Corporation (CPG), a leading provider of integrated solutions for the built environment, today announced the appointment of Mr Tan Shao Yen as its President and Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO), succeeding Mr Khew Sin Khoon, who will take on the role of Emeritus Advisor.

In his new position, Mr Tan will work closely with CPG’s senior leadership team to drive the corporation’s global expansion and optimise its business strategies, with a strong focus on sustainability and resilience.

Mr Tan joined CPG in 2001, dedicating 23 years to the organisation. He has developed extensive experience across various capabilities, and as a trained architect, he brings over 30 years of expertise in designing and delivering projects across diverse typologies in both the public and private sectors, including in Singapore, China, Malaysia, Vietnam, and the Philippines. Prior to becoming GCEO, Mr Tan served as Group Chief Innovation Officer and then Deputy Group CEO, where he leveraged a wide range of capabilities—from professional services and project management to facilities management to deliver values to CPG’s clients. He also fostered international strategic partnerships, enabling the development of market and client-centric, bespoke integrated solutions.

With Mr Tan’s appointment, Mr Khew Sin Khoon, former President and GCEO, will support CPG as Emeritus Advisor, providing strategic insights and mentorship to support the organisation’s growth and success.

Mr Khew joined the organisation in 1984, starting his career as an architect with the Public Works Department (PWD) of Singapore. Following the corporatisation of PWD in 1999 and its renaming as CPG Corporation in 2002, Mr Khew continued his journey with the company. Throughout his tenure, Mr Khew has led numerous landmark projects, including Gardens by the Bay, the New Supreme Court Building, and the New Phoenix Park Complex for the Ministry of Home Affairs, as well as various institutional, residential, and healthcare developments in Singapore, Myanmar, India, and Vietnam. In 2012, he became President and GCEO of CPG Corporation, and he currently holds the distinction of being the longest-serving CEO in the company’s history, having led CPG for 12 years.

As part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen the leadership team and advance strategic initiatives, CPG also announces the appointment of two key executives: Mr Tan Cheng Chuah and Ms Charlotte Lian as Deputy Group Chief Executive Officers.

These strategic appointments reinforce CPG's commitment to leadership, innovation, and sustainability. With their combined expertise, CPG is well-positioned to continue shaping the future of the built environment while remaining true to its legacy of excellence.
